Busy day in Beagleland!

Hi, Beagle Buddies!
Today was quite the busy day. Sara, Bixby, Linus, and Daria went to the vet. Sara and Bixby are being treated for heartworms and will stay overnight. Linus and Daria are back at their foster home recovering. Linus’ neuter went well, but he is bruised and sore. We are putting ice packs on the area several times a day to help the swelling go down. Daria was in heat when she was spayed, but did great and is recovering well. Both Linus and Daria have potential adopters who will get to meet them as soon as they are feeling better. Bixby will be testing the waters in a new foster home on Thursday to see if the alpha female of the household will have him. 🙂 Sara will go back to her foster home to recover, and will be spayed in 6 weeks. At this time, Sara and Bixby do not have potential adopters.
We are very much looking forward to the St. Paddy’s Pickle Parade on March 17th in Mansfield, TX. We will be marching with the Beagles and can’t wait to make all the parade-goers swoon over their cuteness. Let’s just hope we have a cooperative bunch that day and plenty of helpers to walk them. Our Beagle Buddies are more than welcome to join us and walk one of the adoptables or one of their own Beagles. Please contact us for more information.
We are still in need of donations to cover the heartworm treatment for the 4 dogs we are treating this week. Treatment averages $200 a dog, which is in addition to the costs for spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, etc. Donate here to contribute or e-mail us for an address to send a check. All donations are tax-deductible.
Thanks for keeping up with our Beagles!
