Baton Rouge Beagles

Last month, we received a request to help a group of 13 Beagles in need. We were up for the challenge, but there was just one more issue – they were over 7 hours away in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Thanks to our wonderful fosters/volunteers and a dash of insanity, we rented a van and made the journey to rescue them.
As an ode to Garth Brooks’ “Callin’ Baton Rouge,” please welcome Garth, Trisha, Honky Tonk, Oasis, Rodeo, Cowboy Bill, Samantha, Thunder, Cheyenne, Maverick, Melody, River, and Clay to DFW Beagle Buddies!
The dogs are all settled into foster homes and getting the healthcare they need. Many are heartworm positive, none were spayed or neutered, and some had sarcoptic mange. They are now at a point where we can begin looking for adopters for them.
They range from 3-10 years and from 17-30lbs, so there is something for everyone! We are in the process of getting them all listed at www.dfwbeaglebuddies.org/adopt, so please fill out an application if you are interested in meeting anyone!
