Luca – Adopted –

Luca was adopted March 26, 2013 at 3-4 years old. He is such a special boy to DFW Beagle Buddies because of the condition he was in when we got him and how far he has come. He has a loving mom and dad and several canine siblings. He is such a lucky little guy!

Bio: This little cutie was found limp and lethargic in front of the shelter. He had sores on his body and his dewclaws had grown into his paw pads. He was only about half of his recommended body weight and was also heartworm positive. Fast forward to now – Luca is a healthy weight and is a happy boy. He loves people and other dog and is almost always walking around with a toy in his mouth. He has an adorable way of trying to find a place to hide toys. 🙂 He is undergoing heartworm treatment and will be neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. He is about 3-4 years old and is a tiny boy – only about 10″ tall and about 18lbs. He is one of those dogs that will always look like a puppy – so adorable! He has made a complete turnaround from the day he was found!
