Eli – Adopted –

Eli was adopted September 5, 2013. This kiddo spent 9 months in foster care and despite several meet and greets, never found a family that was a perfect fit. Turns out he was in the right home all along, and was adopted by his foster family. We are thankful that they have been willing to devote the time and patience it has taken to get Eli to come out of his shell and become comfortable with his surroundings.

His bio: Eli is a 3 year old neutered male. He is vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He is very calm and gets along well with other dogs. He has a loud bark but he does not bark very much and not at all in the house. He is not overly affectionate, but he does like to be close to people. He would probably do okay as an only dog, but would benefit from someone who is home more often to keep him company. He doesn’t seem to have a large interest in toys, but he does enjoy counter surfing and trying to get in the garbage can and assorted other Beagle mischief. Because he takes some time to open up, we would prefer Eli go to a home with older children or no children. He needs a family that is patient and willing to work with him and let him warm up to them. 🙂
