Sally – Adopted –

Sally was adopted August 12, 2014. Her new sister Matilda (R) is already teaching her important life skills, like how to look before crossing!

Her bio: Sally came to DFW Beagle Buddies from Dallas Animal Services.  Initially she was shy and somewhat fearful, but she has become spunky and adventurous in her foster home, sniffing every nook and crannie to find places to hide her treats.  She is extremely sweet and lovable and follows her foster mom everywhere.  Her foster mom is working with her to get over her separation anxiety and resource guarding, and she is learning good doggie house manners like staying out of the trash!  She barks occasionally, but not too much. She may have been a puppy mill mama, and possibly an outdoor dog in her prior life. She is now house trained with a dog door and is progressing nicely in socializing with her two foster siblings, Maggie and Teddie. Crate training has begun as well.  She is 5-6 years old, spayed, vaccinated, undergoing heartworm treatment, and microchipped. She is welcome to go to her new home during treatment, and we are happy to answer any questions you might have about that. She would be a great girl for a low-to-moderate activity home and would love to have someone home during the day to be a companion to! Her new home should understand that there may be an adjustment period to work through but that we are there every step of the way to help!
