Beagle Bio

Nora was rescued January 24, 2016 after being found as a stray at the Evergreen Trailer Park in Gilmer, Texas. True to her surroundings, she was a tough and resilient lady. She gave the sweetest kisses and let out the meanest howls. She had difficulty using her rear legs and we lovingly refer to it as “walking like a drunk girl in heels.” We initially expected her to only be with us a couple weeks because of her condition, but she surpassed all expectations and lived in her forever foster home for over a year. She began having more difficulty walking on May 23rd and was falling over. On May 24th, we laid her to rest. She will be missed.

Her bio: Nora is a petite senior female Beagle. She was found as a thin, neglected stray in Longview with terrible skin and nails curling under and back through her paws. She’s doing much better now after being on medications and getting plenty of spa services πŸ™‚ Other than her skin and weight, she’s actually a pretty healthy girl – her bloodwork, heartworm test, and thyroid test were all normal!

She doesn’t hear well and needs frequent potty breaks, but she’ll certainly pay you back in kisses. πŸ™‚Β She is a sweet, loving, adorable little cuddle bug who just loves to keep you company. She gets along well with other dogs and is a joy to be around. Since she is a rather frail girl, we are keeping her as a forever foster until she is no longer comfortable.
