Bowie – Adopted –
Here's how to adopt a Beagle Buddy.
Bowie was adopted April 11, 2016! His family says he is precocious but is learning and reminding them to be patient. 🙂
Bowie is a 3 year old Beagle who loves to meet new friends! He has lots of energy to burn so he likes to play and go on long walks, but he also likes to cuddle at the end of the day and for an occasional nap. He can be very rambunctious so an active family will be the best fit for him. He gets along well with other dogs (although he can get a little “in your face with them). He does have a pretty good bark and he’s not afraid to use it! He is working on potty training in his foster home. He seems to be a pretty smart fellow – he doesn’t seem to have been trained before, but he’s already picked up sit, stay, and wait at the door (although he can’t wait very long!) He’s very agile and capable of clearing fences in a single bound, so a tall fence or supervised, on-leash walk is a must. I wouldn’t be surprised if he could even master an agility course-he is quite food motivated and not as “distracted” as many hounds! He is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and has undergone heartworm treatment.
